Billie Eilish, 20, and Jesse Rutherford, 31, dress in bizarre Gucci blanket on red carpet

Billie Eilish turned heads as she made her red carpet debut with her new boyfriend Jesse Rutherford last night.

Billie, 20, and Jesse, 31, wrapped up in a gigantic Gucci blanket for waiting photographers at the star-studded 2022 LACMA Art+Film Gala in Los Angeles.

Underneath the bizarre outfit, the pair wore pyjama inspired clothes created by the Italian luxury brand.

Ocean Eyes hitmaker Billie wore a Gucci slip dress with 'GG' writing paired with thigh high slits up each leg.

The couple sparked outrage on Halloween by dressing up as a baby and an old man - appearing to poke fun at criticism regarding their 11 year age-gap.

Yesterday Billie shared a video where she said how important she thinks it is to vote for the midterm elections on November 8.

In her video Billie said what was at stake in the election 'scares me', and told fans 'the only way to be certain of the future is to make it ourselves.

She said: "I want to explain why I’m voting this year and how important I think it is that you vote too. I look at what’s on the ballot and what’s at stake, and it scares me.

"Our rights, our freedoms and our futures are on the line. And if we don’t show up, there’s a good chance we will see a national ban on abortion with no exceptions."

The star added: "They also want to take away the freedom to marry who we love, restrict voting rights and enact laws that threaten the progress that must be made on climate change.

"The only way to be certain of the future is to make it ourselves, which is why we must vote on or before November 8.

"Please promise me you will make a plan to vote Let’s show them what our power looks like."

Billie's plea comes as other celebrities including Mark Ruffalo also urged people to vote.

The Marvel star is due to appear at an upcoming Democrat fundraiser, and told people from his home state of Wisconsin to help 'safeguard American democracy against nutjobs'.

This follows Billie and her boyfriend Jessie Rutherford being slammed for their 'sick and twisted' Halloween costumes.

The pair seemed to make fun of their age-gap romance, with Billie being 20 and Jessie 31.

Billie dressed up as a baby while Jesse transformed into an old man.

Billie wore a blonde wig and an outfit covered with teddy bears as well as doll-like makeup and a pair of pink rabbit slippers.

Jesse wore a bald cap with grey tufts of hair and also dyed his moustache and eyebrows grey.

Captioning her Instagram post, Billie wrote: "Life is craaaaaaaaaaaaaaazy happy halloween."

However, it seems that some fans of the star didn't see the funny side of the costume.

One wrote: "That last slide is gonna haunt her in a few years when she’s older and realises that a 31 year old has no business with someone that young."

As another said: "Strange costume idea."

A third commented: "Billie Eilish and Jessie Rutherford’s matching Halloween costumes is incredibly sick and twisted - especially with their age difference and power imbalance."

But some fans found their outfits funny with someone saying: "I have ALWAYS 'LOVED'@billieeilish sense of humor. This shows her as she is, HILARIOUS ! All you silly people need a sense of Humor. Love it Billie."

"I mean they’re trolling the people that are having a unnecessary opinion about their relationship. So In a way ur proving their point and making their joke even funnier," another said.
