Bill Skarsgård Shines In Action-Packed Revenge Thriller Boy Kills World

Skarsgård plays 'Boy,' a vengeful orphan trained by a shaman.

Bill Skarsgård takes on a challenging role in the upcoming action film 'Boy Kills World,' directed by Moritz Mohr. The film follows Skarsgård as the titular character, a young boy who seeks vengeance after his family is brutally murdered by the ruthless matriarch, Hilda Van Der Koy, played by Famke Janssen.

In a twist of fate, the boy is left orphaned, deaf, and voiceless, setting the stage for a gripping tale of survival and retribution. Skarsgård's character, known simply as 'Boy,' undergoes intense training with a mysterious shaman, portrayed by Ruhian, to become a lethal force of justice in a corrupt post-apocalyptic world.

The film made its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) as part of the Midnight Madness series, garnering attention for its high-octane action sequences and compelling storyline. Notably, legendary filmmaker Sam Raimi joined the project as a producer after being captivated by a concept trailer for 'Boy Kills World.'

As Boy embarks on a mission to confront the oppressive regime responsible for his suffering, he crosses paths with a diverse cast of characters, including the sinister Melanie Van Der Koy, played by Michelle Dockery, and other members of the villainous Van Der Koy clan portrayed by Brett Gelman and Sharlto Copley.

Early reviews of the film have been positive, with critics praising its adrenaline-pumping fight scenes and offbeat humor. Despite some initial rough edges, 'Boy Kills World' has been described as a thrilling roller coaster ride that leaves audiences energized and inspired.

Featuring a talented ensemble cast that includes Jessica Rothe as the character June 27, 'Boy Kills World' promises to deliver a unique blend of martial arts action, dark comedy, and dystopian drama when it hits theaters on April 26, 2024.
