Bill Belichick Sidestepped Questions About Job Security, Viral Video of Patriots Owner

It’s been a rough season for the Patriots and head coach Bill Belichick. New England moved to 2–7 after a 20–17 loss to the Commanders on Sunday. Belichick was asked about his job security along with a video circulating social media on Sunday, both of which he quickly shut down.

The video featured Patriots owner Robert Kraft and his son Jonathan, president of the organization, seemingly saying, “we’re not good enough" during Sunday's loss. Belichick sidestepped both topics while appearing on WEEI’s The Greg Hill Show on Monday morning.

“You’d have to ask them about what they said,” Belichick said.

Then came the topic of his job security and whether Belichick feels as though he's coaching for his job, to which we were treated with the most Belichick-esque answer ever.

“I’m going to control what I can control and get ready for the Colts,” Belichick said.

While there's no debating the Patriots have struggled to hit any form of a stride, to make things even tougher for Belichick, two of the team's losses rank as the worst ever in his career. This includes a 38-3 road loss to the Cowboys which was followed one week later by his worst home loss ever, a 34-0 result against the Saints in Week 5.
