North Carolina fans, it’s Bill Belichick time.
In one of the truly stunning developments in recent college football history, the former New England Patriots coach has been hired by the Tar Heels to lead their football program.
Going from Mack Brown to perhaps the greatest NFL coach of all time is truly wild if you’re North Carolina. A coach with multiple Super Bowl rings will now try to return the school to college football prominence should the deal go through.
We knew as recently as Wednesday afternoon that Belichick was finalizing a deal to join the college ranks as the new UNC coach. The news was not what anybody expected for his next stop.
