Now, it’s no secret that New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is a huge Taylor Swift fan. He’s such a big fan that he broke character to praise Travis Kelce on his relationship with the 12-time Grammy winner.
But heading into Week 15, the Patriots are 3-10 and already eliminated from playoff contention. So, Belichick hasn’t been particularly thrilled to participate in his weekly call with WEEI in Boston. That was awfully clear when the hosts asked Belichick about Taylor Swift ahead of next week’s matchup with the Chiefs.
The reaction couldn’t have been more classic Belichick.

The first question came from Courtney Cox Dettore as she asked Belichick if he could leave her some tickets in hopes of meeting Swift. After a pause, Belichick said he’d pass that along to the Patriots’ ticket department.
Then, he was asked if he would be able to meet Taylor Swift, and Belichick had enough of that topic. He said that he was just focused on preparing for Kansas City. They had to know those answers were coming because, after all, it’s Bill Belichick. What did they really expect?
It made for some awkward radio, though.
