Bikes seized after Dad lets 2-year-old sit on motorbike handlebars as 5-year-old ride rides quad

A motorbike and a quad bike have been seized by Nottinghamshire Police after a father let his two-year-old sit on the handlebars as he rode one, with his five-year-old riding the quad bike. The incident happened on Saturday (June 18) evening, and Bulwell, Rise Park and Highbury Vale Police posted about it on their Facebook page at 7.31pm the same night.

Police say neither the motorbike or the quad bike can be legally ridden on a public highway, which is what the family was found to be doing. It was raining at the time of the incident too, and there were other vehicles on the road.

Police say both bikes have been seized due to the number of offences that have been committed by the father during the incident. They also said this action was taken in order to safeguard the children to ensure they would not come to any harm in the future.
