A 45-year-old motorcyclist who died following a crash with a van in Kilmarnock has been named.
Bobby Landsborough from Ayr passed away in hospital on Saturday night after being involved in the tragic incident last week.
The biker was treated for serious injuries at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow after the collision around 2.10pm on Tuesday, June 7 at the Moorfield industrial estate.
Emergency services raced to the scene in East Ayrshire and the road was closed for approximately four hours as a crash probe was launched.
The 39-year-old driver of the van was not injured.
Police are continuing to appeal for information with officers wishing to hear from motorists who may have dash-cam footage.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We can confirm the name of a 45-year-old motorcyclist who died following a road crash involving a van in Kilmarnock. He was Bobby Landsborough from Ayr.
"The incident happened around 2.10pm on Tuesday, June 7 at the Moorfield industrial estate in the town.
"Mr Landsborough was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with serious injuries and died on Saturday, June 11.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and anyone with information that could assist road policing officers, or who has dash-cam that could help, is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1863 of Tuesday, 7 June, 2022."
