A motorcyclist has died in hospital four days after a horror crash in a Scots industrial estate.

The 45-year-old was rushed to hospital after the crash involving a van in Moorfield Industrial Estate in Kilmarnock, around 2.10pm on Tuesday June 7.

Police have now confirmed the biker died on Saturday evening at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.

The 39-year-old male driver of the van was uninjured and the road was closed for four hours after the incident to allow collision investigations to take place.

Enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the incident remain ongoing and officers are urging anyone with information to get in touch.

Police can be contacted by calling 101 and quoting the reference 1863 of 7 June, 2022.
