A biker has died after a horror crash with a HVG in South Lanarkshire.
Police were called to the A702 near Elsrickle at around 6.40 pm on Monday, 6 June after a Honda motorcycle collided with a lorry.
Mercy crews attended the scene but a 45-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 40-year-old driver of the HGV did not require hospital treatment.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch.
Sgt Andy Currie from the Road Policing Unit at Motherwell said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died.
“Our inquiries are ongoing into the cause of the crash and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed this crash, or who has any information that will assist our investigation to contact us.
“I would also appeal to anyone driving on this road shortly before the crash happened who has dash-cam footage to get in touch. Anyone with information should contact 101 with reference 3110 of 6 June.”
