For the first time since players reported for training camp this week, the Tennessee Titans took the field for practice on Wednesday.
The biggest storyline of Day 1 was no doubt 2022 first-round pick and wide receiver Treylon Burks, who participated fully in practice and was among Tennessee’s biggest standouts.
After practice, Burks also showed maturity by taking responsibility for not being ready conditioning-wise earlier this offseason.
“I would say yeah,” Burks answered when asked if he could have done more to prepare, per Paul Kuharsky. “That’s just being accountable; I should have taken a better attack on that and now that I am, you can tell a big difference.”
Also of note was the practice participation of defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons. The former first-round pick is seeking a new deal but is still participating in practice while the two sides work things out.
Now, the rest of the biggest takeaways from Day 1.
