Biggest 2023 salary cap hits for Bears following first wave of free agency

The Chicago Bears are through the first wave of free agency, where they added some impact players on the roster. Although, it’s clear there’s still plenty of work to be done by general manager Ryan Poles.

Where things currently stand after the first wave of free agency, the Bears have roughly $38.76 million in cap space in 2023, which is still the most in the NFL.

The Bears signed several new players during the first week of free agency, including linebackers Tremaine Edmunds and T.J. Edwards, guard Nate Davis, running back D’Onta Foreman, defensive end DeMarcus Walker and tight end Robert Tonyan. They also acquired wide receiver DJ Moore in a trade for the No. 1 pick.
