'Bigfoot sighting on Google Earth' as enormous 7.5ft ape-like beast seen in wild

Conspiracy theorists believe they have identified a sighting of a seven-and-a-half-feet tall Bigfoot on Google Earth as the "monster" is seen roaming around Colorado. Bigfoot, who is rumoured to be an ape-like creature that lives in the forests of North America, has allegedly been sighted multiple times over the years.

An image appearing to show such a creature on Google Earth has been brought to light and posted onto a Reddit community group where users share information and theories regarding the supposed beast, the Mirror reports. The sighting at coordinates 38°16'24" N. 108°08'32 in western Colorado is where the creature thought to be Bigfoot is seen wandering through a clearing near some vegetation.

The caption alongside the mysterious mage states: “Is it a bear? A puddle? A hiker without gear? Impossible to say for certain but the darker areas of the subject align with the shadows of other objects nearby.

“Measures around 7-7.5 feet. Appears hunched over. Subject does not appear on other satellite images from different years which might imply that subject is mobile or not stationary object.”

One community member revealed he was familiar with the area and said he had a creepy feeling when he had been standing in that spot but he did not know why.

He wrote: "I’m actually quite familiar with that general area. I lived in Montrose for 26 years and used to camp and hike on the Uncompahgre Plateau.

"There was one section on that loop hike that sometimes gave me the willies in a vague and undefinable way, and at least one other person I know said the same thing about that area.

"I don’t know about the image, but I do know that the Uncompahgre Plateau is big, rugged, and at least POTENTIALLY squatchy."

However, not everyone was as convinced by the alleged Bigfoot image.

One replied: "I found later photos (Shadows are different, sun farther south/lower) and this is a ground anomaly. Water likely. Maybe the start of a lake. If that is the case, it should be named Skookum Lake."

Bigfoot expert Thomas Markum insisted the friendly creature rarely attacks humans despite definitely having the potential to. He said: "There are a few historical reports of attacks but most are only after someone shot at a bigfoot."

While researchers are reporting more and more encounters with Bigfoot, Marcum remarked that "if Bigfoot was a killing machine, they would never make it out".
