The Georgia Bulldogs are staying put in the US LBM Coaches Poll. Georgia won its 28th straight home game on Saturday in a 41-31 win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
The Penn State Nittany Lions jumped Georgia after getting a road win over the USC Trojans. Frankly, Georgia did not look impressive and allowed Mississippi State to hang around in a game that should have been a blowout.
The No. 1 Texas Longhorns have 53 first place votes in the coaches poll, which is ahead of the No. 2 Oregon Ducks (two first place votes), who just defeated the No. 5 Ohio State.
Georgia will have a chance to prove itself next week against as UGA hits the road to play No. 1 Texas in a top five battle. However, Georgia will have to play much better next week in order to compete with Texas, who is the SEC’s only remaining undefeated team.
On the bright side, Georgia remains the country’s top ranked one-loss team, which should bode well for the Bulldogs down the stretch.
