The huge new flagship Zara store in Cardiff is officially open for business.
A handful of shoppers queued outside the store in St David's shopping centre at 9am on Thursday, June 3 to be the first ones through the door.
But during the course of the morning numbers grew, with around 35 people spotted queuing on the second floor of the shopping centre in a line that stretched across to the Apple Store opposite.
Luckily, at 36,500 square feet, the store is big enough for a lot of shoppers to browse at the same time, meaning the queues outside were moving fairly quickly.

Shoppers got their first glimpse of the new store earlier this week, which had been covered up by a giant white facade and black bow for the last few months.
Inside, the store boasts an impressive womenswear section on the ground floor, full of clothes and accessories from Zara's latest summer collection, as well as spacious menswear and kids' sections upstairs.
While the flagship store - meaning it is the lead store in the retail chain - is an incredible upsize from its previous location on Queen Street, it does not appear to have Zara Baby or Zara Home sections.

The store's much-anticipated opening comes more than 18 months after it was announced back in November 2019.
In 2018, Zara launched a high-tech "flagship" store in Stratford, London, featuring interactive mirrors that can make outfit suggestions based on clothing you are holding and radio frequency identification.
The 50,000 square ft, two-storey shop also has an area dedicated to online shopping which can handle 2,400 orders at once with two automated online order collection points.
Customers are also able to collect online orders on the same day if ordered before 2pm.
