'Big moment' - Gary Lineker issues 10-word reaction to Marcus Rashford's late winner

Gary Lineker says that Marcus Rashford's late-winner is a "big moment" for both the 24-year-old and Manchester United as the Reds edged out West Ham.

Rashford's goal 30 seconds from time secured a hard-fought win for Ralf Rangnick's side as they moved into the top four for the first time since September.

David Moyes was at loggerheads with his former side for the duration of the tussle for Champions League places with a handful of flashpoints throughout the match.

But to Rangnick's delight his three changes all combined with the England international sending the Hammers home empty-handed at the death.

As a result, West Ham slip to fifth as Spurs and Arsenal sit marginally behind United and the east London side with both clubs having games in hand in the race for the top four.

But the Match of the Day presenter couldn't excuse the impact that the late show will have on the goalscorer and Rangnick's men.

He tweeted: "Last gasp winner from @MarcusRashford. Big moment for him and @ManUtd."

The dramatic climax saw Rashford score his second goal in as many matches after he was introduced late on against Brentford, scoring the third goal in the 3-1 win over the Bees.

The goal came after the 24-year-old was criticised for his previous performances for the Reds this season and, as a result, saw his position in the starting XI under threat.
