Manchester City supporters have offered up a mixed reaction after watching Gabriel Jesus score two goals on his Arsenal debut following a blockbuster £45million summer move.
Jesus, 25, was allowed to leave the Etihad Stadium in response to City signing Julian Alvarez and Norway frontman Erling Haaland as part of a shake-up for the Premier League champions. It leaves Pep Guardiola with several options in attacking quarters, still, including Phil Foden, Jack Grealish and Riyad Mahrez.
Raheem Sterling is set to follow Jesus in departing after Chelsea launched a bid to sign him. But after making his Arsenal debut in style, attentions remain fixed on that man Jesus.

Summoned from the bench at half-time, the Brazil international needed only 90 seconds to make his mark against German side FC Nurnberg when he smashed home at the near post. Jesus went on to double up his tally, too, with an equally-compelling finish 15 minutes from time.
On that occasion, the former City man used slight of hand - or foot - to divert past the Nurnberg goalkeeper as he helped the Gunners to an all-action 5-3 victory. It was the perfect start for Jesus and he will be expected to follow up that form when Arsenal get their domestic and European charge underway.
Jesus scored 95 goals in five and a half years with City. He also won four Premier League titles in that time.
Needless to say, his first impression drew high praise from Arsenal supporters and those two goals have not gone unnoticed back at the Etihad Stadium, either. Here are a selection of comments from City supporters as seen on Twitter;
