Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory, co-founder of the Black Mafia Family, a notorious drug trafficking organization, is set to complete the remainder of his 30-year prison sentence in a residential reentry program in Miami, as confirmed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Flenory, aged 56, was convicted in 2008 on charges of drug trafficking and money laundering.

Recently, he was transferred to the residential program in Miami, where he will be monitored until his sentence concludes on January 27, 2026, according to the federal prison website. The residential reentry center in Miami is tasked with providing community-based services to aid federal offenders in their reentry process.

The story of Demetrius Flenory and his brother Terry Flenory was brought to the screen by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson in an eight-episode series titled “BMF” on Starz in 2021. The series delved into the brothers' rise from inner-city Detroit to becoming prominent drug kingpins embraced by hip-hop culture.

Terry Flenory, aged 54, is serving a similar sentence for drug trafficking and money laundering charges at a residential reentry center in Detroit. His release date is scheduled for August 17, 2025, as per the federal prison website.

Demetrius Flenory's lawyer, Brittany K. Barnett, has not yet responded to inquiries regarding his transfer to Miami. The residential reentry programs in Miami and Detroit aim to support these individuals in their transition back into society as they near the completion of their respective sentences.
