Big-Man TD by Raiders’ John Jenkins Set to ‘Chariots of Fire’ Theme Is Work of Art

The Raiders’ 63—21 win over the Chargers on Thursday Night Football had a little bit of everything, from trick plays to a one-handed pick-six interception. The blowout even included an epic big-man touchdown by Las Vegas defensive tackle John Jenkins

As time expired in the third quarter, Raiders defensive end Malcolm Koonce got to Los Angeles quarterback Easton Stick for the second time in the contest, also forcing his second fumble. Jenkins, all 327 pounds of him, was in the right place at the right time, scooped up the fumble and rumbled 44 yards for the score.

The big man touchdown was satisfying enough as it was. But the Raiders highlight entered artistic territory when KLAS-TV sports anchor Logan Reever set the play to the iconic Chariots of Fire instrumental theme.

Here’s Jenkins’s touchdown on Amazon Prime Video’s broadcast.

And here’s the big-man touchdown set to music in all its glory.

Can we have a round of applause for Reever? Everything about this is perfect. The angle of the replay, the speed of the video, the way the music intensifies as Jenkins inches closer to the end zone.

It’s so beautiful that it might even make Jenkins shed a single tear.
