Big Mac Bacon: New McDonald's treat is now available in the UK

Ever since McDonald’s launched the Big Mac in 1968, it’s been a staple on their menu.

With three buns, two patties, cheese, pickles and their super-secret sauce, it’s no surprise it’s been such a mainstay.

Yet, the fast food chain has just announced it is making its first change to the Big Mac since its launch 51 years ago – they’re adding bacon.

The Big Mac Bacon has just been introduced to the UK for the first time, with two slices of streaky bacon added to the burger.

McDonald’s are also bringing back their Grand Big Mac and Mac Jr. options to celebrate the occasion, with these burgers having the bacon option available also.

Michelle Graham-Clare, head of marketing at McDonald’s UK & Ireland, said: “The customer reaction to our Grand Big Mac and Mac Jr. last year was phenomenal, the love for the iconic Big Mac surpassed all expectations. Which is why I am delighted to introduce bacon to the Big Mac range, a twist on a classic.”

If the thought of these burgers has you salivating, then you’ll have to be quick as the Big Mac Bacon will only be available to buy until March 19.
