Big Brother winner Xavier Prather gets engaged to Kenzie Hansen after romantic proposal

Kenzie Hansen said "yes" to Xavier Prather after the Big Brother winner successfully pulled off a romantic proposal.

The reality TV star, 29, made the huge gesture on a rooftop and admitted he took five months to plan every precise detail.

Xavier, who was the first black winner of the US version of the reality show, shared the exciting news with his Instagram followers through an album of images.

It showed him leading his belle to the summit of the Amway Grand Plaza hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

He led out his now wife-to-be who was blindfolded. They went onto the terrace of a Spanish restaurant which offered stunning views of the city's surroundings.

As they took in the romantic setting surrounded by several of their nearest and dearest, Xavier took to one knee in the middle of flower petals in the shape of a heart and popped the all-important question.

He showed off the beautiful ring which he had personally designed as Kenzie excitedly agreed to get married.

The pair looked amazing, with Xavier opting for a burgundy suit, while Kenzie wore a figure hugging black strapped dress.

Rising to his feet, he grabbed his partner for a tight embrace as they celebrated in front of large white letters which read: "MARRY ME."

During a Q&A with his fans, Xavier revealed: "We went to the jewelers together, but the ultimate design of the ring she left up to me."

And discussing just how involved he intends to be in the process of planning their big day, he confessed: "Will help/assist as much as she wants me to/ as much as I can, but gonna let her have creative control."
However, he admitted the precise planning for the perfect moment to pop the question took him "about 5 months".
He wrote: "The proposal was a full day affair so it took ample time to secure a venue, get all the decorations, etc. But thankfully everything went according to plan."

The attorney who used to be a college basketball star went official with his belle on Instagram last October.
