Big Brother superfan Rylan says he hasn't been asked to host new series on ITV

Following the announcement, fans of both Big Brother and Rylan himself have suggested that the 33-year-old could present the show. The reaction has prompted Rylan to respond on Twitter.

To the disappointment of fans, Rylan said: "Should clarify. I’ve not been asked to host the show. As a fan, like always, I’m made up it’s coming back. I know how hard you/we all fought to keep that name alive and I’m so glad it paid off in the end. The OG reality is back. It’s the news we wanted. Welcome back bro x"

Rylan's involvement in Big Brother began when he won the 2013 series of Celebrity Big Brother. After that, he would launch his successful presenting career by working on spin-off show, Big Brother's Bit on the Side.

Big Brother - which is heralded as one of the first reality TV series and shot to fame unknowns like Jade Goody, Kate Lawler and Welsh contestants Imogen Thomas and Glyn Wise - will be making a comeback on ITV in 2023. A new cast of carefully selected housemates from all walks of life will take up residence in the house.
