Despite Grace never even visiting Liverpool before she met her lover, the couple now share a luxurious home together with their four kids in Merseyside.
They have since stepped away from the limelight but continue to be successful in completely different careers.
Growing family
Grace Adams-Short and Mikey Dalton have recently "completed" their family after their latest addition.
The couple welcomed their newborn son, Atticus Henry Dalton, on January 3 and also have Georgiana, 10, Spencer, six and Allegra, three.
Grace and Mikey met on the seventh series of Big Brother, and got engaged just four months later, before tying the knot in 2009.
They have said their family is now completed and they’ve insisted they won’t be having any more children after the difficult birth of Atticus.
Grace revealed she suffered from a life-threatening condition during pregnancy which prompted her labour to be induced.
Speaking to OK! from their Liverpool home, Grace explained: "I had to be induced early as I had a condition called anti-C, which can cause complications with the baby’s antibodies.
"I never had it with my other pregnancies, it was stressful. All through the pregnancy I had to give blood every two weeks."
Liverpool home
Since originally getting married in Plymouth, where Grace is from, Mikey and Grace have since moved to Mikey's roots in Liverpool.
They share their home with their four children.
The family have an open plan living room and dining area, with light green painted walls and cream cupboards.
The wooden dining table is surrounded by high-back chairs and there are glass doors that lead out onto the garden patio, which also floods the room with natural light.
The sofas are both comfy and stylish, one is a teal and the other is mauve, and they are covered in an array of throw pillows.
The kitchen is equally bright and airy, with a large window looking out on the garden situated above the sink.
The cabinets are painted a taupe colour and the walls are white.
There are charcoal-coloured blinds which the family can use if they would like a bit more privacy.
The bathroom is another lesson in style, with white ceramic tiles covering the walls and artwork that is printed onto a mirror having on the wall.
Successful business
The reality stars have since stepped away from TV, with the former dance teacher setting up performing schools across the nation, while Liverpudlian Mikey owns an advertising company.
Grace, who was able to purchase properties in London and Liverpool following her Big Brother appearance, recently sold her company for millions.
