Big Brother's Kate Lawler thanks fans for support after stint in hospital

Kate Lawler has thanked fans for their support after she was admitted to hospital.

The 41-year-old shot to stardom in 2002 when she won the third season of Big Brother. She has since forged a successful career as a DJ and hosts a show on Virgin Radio. Kate concerned her followers on Instagram earlier this week when she revealed she was taken to hospital. She vowed to make changes after the health scare.

She said: "Yesterday was pretty strange. Long story, but I ended up in hospital. Got home at 9pm and feeling much better. I need to make some changes in order to feel better, both mentally and physically but it's easy to forget to look after yourself when you're juggling so much. Still, it's given me a wake up call. I hope you are all doing today."

Kate received support from her 414k Instagram followers and thanked fans for their kind messages. She shared the picture alongside a snap and joked viewers should be more concerned about her gel nails.

She added: "Tired mama going to sleep. Big day tomorrow. I'm finally getting my broken temp crown off and permanent one put on and the dentist is putting in a new wire behind my top four teeth because it came out. Me and teeth go together like cottage cheese and jam."
