Big Brother winner Craig Phillip says he was asked to leave a guest's house on 60 Minute Makeover after 'destroying' their kitchen.
The reality TV star and professional builder, 51, appeared on the show in the noughties, which aimed to renovate homes in only an hour.
Usually, homeowners were delighted with the Scouser's handy work, but on one occasion, things didn't go to plan.
Explaining a guest "didn't want us in house" after his kitchen had been ripped out, Craig said: "The kitchen now is flattened, the bedroom units are out in the street piled up in the skips and were not careful as we're taking out because we know it's scrap at this point, you know.
"The gentlemen whose house we were at got wind of it and decided I'm not having this, I'm coming back," he told the Daily Star.
The builder then added the man, who no longer wanted to take part in the show, also refused producers the opportunity to make amends by giving him new furniture - and stopped the crew from entering the premises.
Craig shot to fame after winning the first-ever series of Big Brother in 2000.
The kind-hearted star won widespread praise when he used his £70,000 prize money to help pay for a heart and lung transplant for a friend, who sadly died in 2008.
After winning the Channel 4 show, Craig carved out a career on TV, presenting and producing 850 DIY and home improvement shows - including 60 Minute Makeover, Trading Up and Builders, Sweat and Tears.
The builder also tried his hand at acting, treading the boards in 2002 when he played the role of Buttons at the Royal Court Theatre in Liverpool.
In 2018 Craig married Laura Sherriff, who he met in 2016.
The couple tied the knot at Cheshire’s Peckforton Castle in February 2018 and a year later welcomed their first child Nelly.
In 2020, Nelly became a big sister when her brother Lennon was born.
Proud dad Craig loves to show off his brood on social media and keeps fans regularly updated.
The family live in a stunning home in Liverpool - which Craig has built to ensure it meets his exact specifications.
Boasting eight bedrooms, the detached house has four bathrooms, a sprawling garden and even a studio where the DIY guru creates content.
