Talks about a Big Brother relaunch are taking place four years after the reality show was last seen on our TV screens.
ITV bosses are discussing the possibility of a return, according to The Sun.
Last seen in 2018, the iconic reality TV programme dating back to 2000 featured regular folk sharing a house with people they had never met.
It launched a few household names during its lengthy run including the late Jade Goody and This Morning presenter Alison Hammond.
Now the show is in talks to return on ITV2 in 2023 after Love Island, Wales Online reports.
"ITV is the home of big appointment telly. They know better than anyone how to put on big live events," said an insider.
"They think putting it on ITV2 will open it up to a new audience and legion of younger fans. They are really keen on getting the deal done on Big Brother, and hope to have something firm to announce soon."
Talks are reportedly in the early stages and the next few weeks are said to be crucial in the planning process. ITV declined to comment when approached by Daily Star.
Davina McCall was the first presenter of the show before she was taken over by former winner Brian Dowling. Emma Willis later took over the reins until the show ended for good in 2018.
Speaking recently to Daily Star at the W Channel Spring Launch, Emma shared her thoughts on returning to the show if Big Brother was to come back.
Emma said: "Would I go back? It depends if they would want me to, there are lots of people who could do it.
"I wouldn't fight Davina... No way, she's the queen."
The programme spin-off show was previously hosted by Dermot O'Leary when it aired on Channel 4 but when Channel 5 took over, presenter Rylan Clark took the reins.
It is now believed that there are also talks for Rylan to be the host of the revived version.
