The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco has praised fellow actress Jennifer Aniston after the Friends legend shared details of her infertility journey for the first time.
Kaley, who is pregnant with her first child at the age of 36, called for compassion on Wednesday after Jen spoke candidly about her failed in-vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments as she was constantly forced to shut down pregnancy rumours.
"You never ever know what people are going through behind the scenes," Kaley explained on her Instagram story alongside a picture of 53-year old Jen.
She continued: "Stop assuming and judging every little thing! @jenniferaniston thank u for sharing this story!!!"
Speaking to Allure magazine recently, Rachel Green actress Jen described 'baby-making' as a 'challenging road' in her 30s and 40s, at a time when the outside world assumed she wasn't interested in parenthood.
She told the outlet: "All the years and years and years of [media] speculation… it was really hard.
"I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it. I was throwing everything at it. I would have given anything if someone had said to me, 'Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favour.' You just don’t think it."
She went on to discuss her five-year marriage to movie star Brad Pitt, reacting angrily to past claims the relationship ended because she 'wouldn't give him a kid'.
"It's absolute lies," she raged. "And God forbid a woman is successful and doesn’t have a child. And the reason my husband left me, why we broke up and ended our marriage, was because I wouldn’t give him a kid. I don’t have anything to hide at this point."
Kaley revealed the news last month that she is expecting a baby girl with partner Tom Pelphrey.
Alongside a series of snaps including Tom holding a pink cake and Kaley holding her positive pregnancy test, she wrote: "Baby girl Pelphrey coming 2023. Beyond blessed and over the moon. I [heart emoji] you @tommypelphrey!!!"
