A recent poll conducted in Pennsylvania revealed that President Biden narrowly defeated former President Trump by a slim margin of two points among registered voters in the state. The Franklin & Marshall Poll showed Biden securing 42% of the vote compared to Trump's 40%, highlighting the competitive nature of the political landscape in the critical battleground state.

Pennsylvania played a pivotal role in both the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections, swinging from a Trump victory in 2016 to supporting Biden in 2020 by a narrow margin. The state's significance is expected to persist in the upcoming 2024 election as well.

Despite his victory in the poll, Biden faces skepticism from a notable portion of Pennsylvanians who question his age as he approaches a potential second term. Concerns about Biden's age, at 81, were raised by 40% of registered voters, with some expressing doubts about his ability to serve another term at an advanced age.

While Trump led in other battleground states according to a separate survey, Biden maintained an edge in trustworthiness and character over his opponent. In a head-to-head match-up, Biden extended his lead to 10 points, garnering 48% support compared to Trump's 38%.

However, the potential entry of third-party candidates, including Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has introduced uncertainty into the race. Kennedy's campaign aims to secure ballot access in Pennsylvania, adding another dimension to the evolving political landscape in the state.

As the race for the White House in 2024 unfolds, Pennsylvania remains a key battleground where factors such as age, trustworthiness, and the presence of third-party candidates could influence the outcome of the election.
