Biden-Harris Campaign Criticizes JD Vance For Extremist Agenda

Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, arrives as the Senate prepares to advance the $95 billion aid package for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan passed by the House, at the Capitol in Washington, Tuesday, April 23, 2024

The Biden-Harris campaign has launched a scathing attack on JD Vance, the chosen running mate of former President Donald Trump, accusing him of being a staunch supporter of Trump's extreme MAGA agenda. According to the campaign, Vance is willing to go to great lengths, including breaking the law, to advance Trump's divisive policies, regardless of the harm it may cause to the American people.

The campaign is emphasizing the divergent visions for America presented by the two tickets. On one side, the Biden-Harris ticket aims to unify the nation, create opportunities for all, and reduce costs for Americans. In contrast, the Trump-Vance ticket is portrayed as having a detrimental agenda that threatens Americans' rights, undermines the middle class, and increases the cost of living, all while favoring the wealthy and corporate interests.

Jen O’Malley Dillon, Chair of the Biden-Harris 2024 campaign, criticized Vance for his alignment with Trump's Project 2025 agenda, which she claims will come at the expense of American families. She highlighted Vance's support for a nationwide abortion ban, opposition to the Affordable Care Act, and refusal to acknowledge the legitimacy of the 2020 election results.

The campaign further accused Vance of advocating for policies that would benefit billionaires and corporations at the expense of ordinary Americans. They claim that Vance's positions include endorsing a nationwide abortion ban without exceptions for rape and incest, supporting cuts to Social Security, and questioning the outcome of the 2020 election while downplaying acts of political violence.
