The phrase “let’s go, Brandon!” has spread like wildfire across social media and has increasingly become synonymous among Trump-supporting Twitter users to mock President Joe Biden.
Earlier this month, racing driver Brandon Brown received his first NASCAR Xfinity Series race victory at Alabama’s Talladega Superspeedway. Little did he know, a viral Republican phrase had just been born in the background.
During a post-race interview, NBC’s Kelli Stavast turned her attention to the crowd and said: “As you can hear the chants from the crowd — ‘Let’s go, Brandon!’”
Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case – not even close. Instead, they were shouting, “F**k Joe Biden.”
Well now, the internet is freaking out after Biden met with a man named Brandon to support the President’s Build Back Better Agenda “to create jobs, cut taxes, and lower costs for working families.” Inevitably, some right-wingers have perceived the exchange to be the President messing with the phrase’s virality.
Taking to the official POTUS Twitter account, Biden said: “I’m fighting every day to pass my Build Back Better Agenda for folks like Brandon. His story is like so many I’ve heard across the country.
“Folks are just looking for a fighting chance and to be treated with the dignity they deserve – and that’s what my agenda is all about.”

Those familiar with “let’s go, Brandon!” took to Twitter to criticize Biden. “Hey, did you tell Brandon about how you were using him to hack a twitter algorithm? Bet he’d appreciate that,” one said, while another was convinced, “. . .this has to be trolling, right?”
“This is possibly an attempt to control the narrative around the ‘Lets go Brandon’ campaign,” another user tweeted. “Don’t be surprised when the left trots out their talking points as they blame conservatives for ‘offending’ a disabled kid with the ‘Lets go Brandon’.”

Since the phrase took off, “let’s go, Brandon!” has been used across social media as the clean translation to mock Biden and his policies.

Not only has the code phrase poured out across social media platforms, but it has now snowballed into a chart-topping song by rapper Loza Alexander.
“Let’s Go Brandon” went viral on TikTok and has since reached the number one hip-hop title on iTunes.
Adele's “Easy on Me” is the only song beating it to the top spot on the mainstream iTunes charts.
