Following the shooting incident at former President Donald Trump's rally, President Joe Biden's campaign staff took immediate action to address the situation. A note obtained by CNN revealed that campaign officials urged staff to refrain from making any comments on social media or in public. They also requested a pause on all proactive campaign communication until more information was available.

The campaign managers expressed gratitude towards law enforcement for their swift response and extended well wishes for Trump's quick recovery. In response to the incident, the Biden campaign decided to halt all outbound communications and pull down TV ads.

During the shooting, Biden was attending mass in Rehoboth, Delaware, and left shortly after being informed of the situation. The President later condemned political violence and attempted to reach out to Trump. He is currently being briefed by senior US officials, including Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
