The Biden campaign has responded to concerns raised by 'anonymous' sources within the Democratic Party regarding the president's candidacy. Campaign Spokesperson Kevin Munoz emphasized Biden's recent TV interviews and the support he has garnered from Black women and Hispanic groups. Munoz also linked Trump to the conservative Project 2025 agenda, which has been disavowed by the president.
In a memo released on Friday, Munoz highlighted the contrast between the messages of the two campaigns, accusing Trump and Republicans of promoting 'revenge and retribution.' He criticized the Republican National Convention for focusing on issues such as mass deportation and the Project 2025 agenda.
Biden, who recently tested positive for COVID-19, has canceled several campaign events and is currently self-isolating in Delaware. Vice President Kamala Harris has taken over campaign duties in his absence. Despite his illness, Biden's team expressed his eagerness to return to the campaign trail as soon as possible.
Munoz also pointed out the presence of signs calling for 'Mass Deportations Now' at the Republican National Convention, as well as the participation of individuals associated with controversial policies such as family separation. He criticized JD Vance, who was presented as Trump's running mate, for his alignment with Project 2025's agenda, which includes proposals for abortion bans and reduced access to healthcare.
