Biden Campaign Criticizes Trump And Vance At GOP Convention

U.S. President Biden attends a dinner hosted by the Human Rights Campaign at the Washington Convention Center in Washington

As the GOP convention concluded, the Biden campaign made it clear that President Biden has not shown any indication of withdrawing from the 2024 election. The campaign took a swipe at former President Trump and his potential running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio.

Biden's principal deputy campaign manager, Quentin Fulks, highlighted the contrasting visions presented by the two parties over the past four days. He emphasized that Americans will face a significant choice between the Biden-Harris ticket, focused on uniting the country, creating opportunities for all, and reducing costs, and the Trump-Vance ticket, which Fulks argued would take away Americans' rights, harm the middle class, and increase the cost of living while benefiting the wealthy and corporations.

Former President Trump recently delivered a convention address following his conviction on 34 felony counts, marking the first criminal trial of a former or current president in U.S. history. However, the Supreme Court ruled on the issue of presidential immunity, stating that a president is immune from 'official acts.' Trump is leveraging this ruling to appeal his conviction and delay sentencing until September.
