The presidential primaries are nearing their conclusion as Joe Biden and Donald Trump have already secured their nominations. On Tuesday, voters in Kentucky and Oregon will have the opportunity to participate, offering a glimpse into the sentiments of the Democratic and Republican bases towards their respective candidates.

Despite clinching the nominations, both Biden and Trump continue to face internal dissent within their parties. Biden has encountered protest votes regarding his handling of the Israel-Hamas conflict, while Trump still sees support for former rival Nikki Haley.

Following Tuesday's primaries, there are eight presidential nominating contests remaining. Democrats in Idaho, the District of Columbia, Guam, and the Virgin Islands, along with both parties in Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, and South Dakota, will still have their say.

In Georgia, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who is leading the prosecution of Trump in a 2020 election interference case, faces challenger Christian Wise Smith in the Democratic primary. The judge in the case, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee, is also up for reelection against Robert Patillo.

Oregon's 5th Congressional District features a notable Democratic primary between Jamie McLeod-Skinner and Janelle Bynum, with the winner set to challenge Republican Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer. In the 3rd Congressional District in Portland, Democrats will select a nominee to succeed retiring Rep. Earl Blumenauer, with candidates including Susheela Jayapal, Maxine Dexter, and Eddy Morales.
