President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are set to embark on their first joint trip since Biden ended his candidacy and Harris assumed the role of the Democratic nominee. The White House announced that on August 15, the duo will travel to Maryland for an event focused on discussing the progress being made to reduce costs for the American people. The specific location and details of the event have not been disclosed at this time.

Although Biden and Harris have made brief appearances together since the president's decision to not seek reelection on July 21, this upcoming trip marks a significant moment for the pair. Recently, they were seen together at Joint Base Andrews to welcome back U.S. citizens who were unlawfully detained in Russia. Additionally, they participated in a Situation Room meeting to address the situation in the Middle East and shared a lunch last week.

Lowering costs for Americans is a key focus area for Biden as he enters the final months of his presidency. This trip to Maryland signifies a continued effort by the administration to address economic challenges facing the country and provide relief to the American people.
