Bhumi Pednekar to co-host Femina Miss India 2023 pageant in Imphal

Bhumi Pednekar, an actor, youth icon and role model, is associated with many social issues, like championing the cause of climate change in India. Her celebrity image and persona are the perfect reason why Bhumi has been roped in to host the Femina Miss India 2023 pageant this year. To be hosted in Imphal, the capital of Manipur, this event will take place on April 15.

The ‘Badhaai Do’ actress has recently been appointed as the United Nations Development Programme’s first National Advocate for SDGs in India. With her efforts with UNDP, Bhumi will continue to bring attention to the major societal changes that need to be implemented immediately.

Apart from her social work, Bhumi garners attention for her films. She has made an impact in mainstream Hindi cinema with releases like ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’, ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, ‘Lust Stories’, ‘Badhaai Do’, ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ and ‘Bheed’.

It will be interesting to see how Bhumi’s personality and beauty rub off on the Miss India contestants in Imphal. A total of 30 women will compete for the coveted crown, and the winner will bag an opportunity to represent the country at Miss World.
