BGT viewers convinced they're watching wrong show after Love Island 'crossover'

Britain's Got Talent viewers questioned what show they were watching on Tuesday night, after noticing something different about a contestant's video intro.

Lewis Fuller appeared on the live semi-finals on Tuesday, and once again mixed his love of magic and music.

This time, he began with a series of tricks related to telepathy and teleportation before performing another song.

From guessing the songs picked by the judges, and making Amanda Holden's ring disappear into a box being held by Bruno Tonioli, Lewis certainly caught the attention of the judges and the audience.

But many viewers were a little distracted by Lewis' introduction video, before his act even began - with many confessing they had to double-take.

Britain's Got Talent 2023 fans had to ask if they'd replaced the series with Love Island (ITV)

Taking to Twitter, fans joked they had the wrong channel on or had somehow switched Love Island on.

They claimed his video, which showed him doing some tricks with a bright pink background at points, looked a lot like the videos Love Island airs of their contestants.

Taking to Twitter, fans compared the shows as one wrote: "Why does it feel like I’m watching a contestant being introduced on love island??"

Another tweeted: "Is this love island?" as a third added: "Feel like this dudes introducing himself on love island."

The comments kept on coming too, with another reading: "Not me thinking it was love island," while a further tweet said: "Is this Love Island or….."

This wasn't the only thing viewers were distracted by, as judge Bruno Tonioli was heard appearing to swear during an act's performance.

As daredevil Andrew Stanton invited all four judges to the stage for his act, viewers believed they heard him shout "f***ing hell"."

The moment did not go unnoticed, and one fan tweeted: "Bruno just said 'f***ing hell Simon, not again'," as a second said: "Did he just say f***ing hell???"

Another said: "I thought I heard Bruno swearing to Simon on stage about the act f***ing hell simon not this again or something along those lines."

Britain's Got Talent's live semi-finals air all this week at 8PM on ITV1 and ITVX.
