Francine Lewis ' husband is said to have described messaging a friend's partner as the "biggest mistake of his life," after his wife alleged on live TV that he had cheated.
The impressionist, 46, appeared on GB News this week and claimed during an interview about fraud that she had just found out her husband Joel Ryan had been "cheating."
The mum-of-two - who reached the final of Britain's Got Talent in 2013 - alleged that he had cheated on her with the partner of a friend, leaving Francine "devastated."
Her husband is said to have denied having an affair but admitted to sending "some messages" to a friend's partner, with him reportedly "desperate" to reconcile with his wife.
According to the Sun, Francine is ignoring Joel's calls, with the builder said to "deeply regret what happened," with him keen to speak to his wife and explain himself.
A source has told the outlet: "[He] has been telling people he made the biggest mistake of his life. It wasn't a full blown affair but Joel knows that doesn't matter."
They said he isn't looking to "downplay" the situation and added that he is "desperate to speak to Francine," though it's been reported that she's not interested.

The source said she considers it "the ultimate betrayal" and that it has left her questioning their relationship, with them understood to have been together for more than a decade.
Francine made the allegation that her husband "cheated" on GB News on Friday (April 22), with it later reported that the messages she found had been described as "crude."
Joel reportedly issued a statement to the broadcaster in response to the allegation made by his wife on live TV.
It read: "I haven't had an affair and I totally deny all of the claims made against me. I sent some messages to a friend's partner and I hugely regret sending them, but I did not cheat or have an affair."
The statement continued: "I love Francine very much and I am ashamed of what I did and deeply sorry for the hurt I have caused. I just want to focus on my marriage."
The Mirror approached reps of Francine for comment.
