Beyonce has now taken up residence in Sunderland and it didn't take long for a North East institution to make her feel welcome, as Greggs extended an invite to the music icon.
The day fans of Queen B fans have been waiting for is finally here - she will take to the stage at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday, May 23 on her Renaissance tour, with a massive crowd expected at SAFC's famous ground to see her in action.
Sunderland is the third stop on the UK leg of the tour, with Beyonce having already wowed tens of thousands of fans in both Cardiff and Edinburgh and now its Wearside's turn to be slayed as the Crazy in Love singer returns seven years after packing quite the punch with her Formation show.
Now, whenever a big star comes to the region, you can be sure that Greggs will be on hand should they want any baked goods - just as Ed Sheeran and Little Mix, who are just two big names to have benefited from Greggs' generosity over the years and, as Beyonce confirmed her arrival in Sunderland by changing the location on her Instagram bio and rumours swirled she was on Roker beach with Jay-Z, the bakers were quick off the mark with an offer for her.

Doctoring a photo of the Insta bio so that it read 'Greggs, Sunderland' they posted on social and tagged Beyonce, as they asked: 'What can we get for you, @beyonce?'
The reaction to the post was huge, with Instagram legends Hunsnet using a line from one of Bey's songs, to reply 'It could be a sweet treat… or beautiful stake bake' and another follower writing: 'She wants a sausage roll, and pepperoni pizza and some wedges and chicken strips.'
Greggs' invite to Beyonce came days after she ran up a near £2,000 bill at an Edinburgh branch of Nandos, getting food for her crew.
