Beyoncé’s NFL Half-Time Show Reminds The World That She Is Still The Best In The Game

If you ask me, the best part about any large-scale sporting event is the halftime show. Today, Beyoncé cemented that theory by putting on the performance of a lifetime during the NFL Christmas show, garnering an outpouring of support and admiration from average punters to celebrities alike.

I know what you’re thinking — NFL Christmas halftime show? Isn’t the big event on Thanksgiving? You’re absolutely right. However, in an effort to bring more eyeballs to the NFL, the big dogs of American football are chucking more cashola at putting on a show on the Christmas Day games too. The NFL must have some deeeeeep pockets if they were able to get Beyoncé to perform at the Ravens against the Texans game.

On Boxing Day (local time, Christmas Day in the United States), Beyoncé took to the field to perform songs from her latest album, Cowboy Carter, with a festive twist. The performance was entitled “A Cowboy Carter Christmas” and it had the beehive excited from the moment it was announced in early November — especially since it was the first live performance from the album from the esteemed performer.

The last time the “Single Ladies” singer took the NFL stage was in 2013 when she performed at the Super Bowl, bringing out her former bandmates from Destiny’s Child. In short, it was iconic.

Despite having a very tough act to follow, Miss Thing turned it out with a show filled with wonder, mystique and a heap of celebrity cameos, including Post Malone, Shaboozey and her daughter Blue Ivy Carter.

All the reactions to Beyoncé’s NFL half-time show

The moment the halftime show wrapped, the 32-time Grammy award winner began to receive an outpouring of support from fans and celebrities on social media for the stellar performance.

Here’s what the fans — and a bunch of Beyoncé-loving celebrities — had to say about it.

Imagine being revered by your fans and peers alike. Truly, Beyoncé is in a league of her own.

According to Netflix, Beyoncé’s half-time performance dubbed the Beyoncé Bowl, will be available to stream on Netflix “later this week” as a stand-alone special.

Incredible!!! A halftime special without the sport in the way? Perfect!!!!!
