Beyoncé broke more records at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night, picking up the gong for Best Album among her three accolades.
The latest awards came a remarkable 23 years after she first won one as part of the group Destiny’s Child, and she is now the most nominated artist in Grammy history.
This was the fifth time she has been nominated for Best Album but the first time she has won.
Beyoncé took to the stage with Blue Ivy Carter, her 13-year-old daughter, to accept the award for her album, Cowboy Carter.
She said: "It's been many, many years and I just want to thank the Grammys, every songwriter, every collaborator, every producer, all the hard work."
She also won the Best Country Album – becoming the first black female artist to ever take the prize.
Taylor Swift presented that award an Beyoncé said: "Wow, I really was not expecting this. I want to thank God that I'm able to do what I love after so many years.
"Genre is a code word to keep us in place as artists, and I just want to encourage us to do what we're passionate about."
The music superstar was only 19 when she and Destiny’s Child claimed two Grammys for their song Say My Name.
Success for Beyoncé – whose real name is Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter – has then followed on an annual basis.
