Pop icon Beyonce has announced that she will be releasing her long-awaited seventh studio album, Renaissance, after a six-year hiatus.
The 40-year-old music legend has announced her comeback project, which will land on July 29.
The news was announced by the video streaming service Tidal on June 16.
The star has announced ‘Act 1’ of the project, so it appears that it could be a project in more than one part.
Various music platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal and YouTube have all confirmed the release, sharing an image titled: ‘Act i, Renaissance’.
In 2016, Beyonce released the acclaimed Lemonade, and then, in 2018, she teamed up with her husband Jay Z to release the joint record Everything Is Love.
Recently, Beyonce deleted all of her profile images on social media ahead of preparing to launch into the next steps of her solo era.
The star shared the news of her latest release on her social media profiles, in the bio on her Twitter, Instagram and Facebook pages.

Beyonce confirmed that she will be working on new music last summer, explaining: “I’ve been in the studio for a year and a half.
“Sometimes it takes a year for me to personally search through thousands of sounds to find just the right kick or snare. One chorus can have up to 200 stacked harmonies.”
The singer continued: “Still, there’s nothing like the amount of love, passion, and healing that I feel in the recording studio. After 31 years, it feels just as exciting as it did when I was nine years old. Yes, the music is coming!”
In November 2021, she dropped the new track ‘Be Alive’, which appeared on the soundtrack for the film King Richard.
It has been reported that the ‘Queen of pop’ will be hosting a series of ‘’intimate shows and pop-up performances’’ in the UK later this year.
‘’There will be unique surprises in store for the British fans,’’ an insider said.
‘’People in her camp have scouted out venues for her to perform at when the music comes out and then there will be another huge tour later on.’’
