Beyoncé Finally Recognised By The Grammys & Awarded Album Of The Year

The Bey-hive is in full buzz after its Queen B, Beyoncé, finally copped a shiny, golden gramophone for Album Of The Year with Cowboy Carter at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Can I get a yee-fucking-haw?

In a historical, cultural-shifting win, Ms Yoncé has finally won her first-ever Album Of The Year Grammy at this year’s awards.

The big win comes after years upon years of being snubbed, but despite the long wait, fans are rejoicing after their fave finally reached this major milestone.

When accepting the award, the beloved musician acknowledged how long it took for her to finally achieve this moment before thanking all of those who were involved in making Cowboy Carter a reality.

“I just feel very full and very honoured. It’s been many, many years,” the “16 Carriages” artist began in her acceptance speech for Album Of The Year.

“I just want to thank the Grammys, every songwriter, every collaborator, every producer, for all of the hard work.

“I want to dedicate this to Miss (Linda) Martell, and I’ll just hope we just keep pushing forward, opening doors.”

During her speech, Beyoncé also thanked all the firefighters who battled the devastating Los Angeles wildfires earlier this year.

“I like to thank and acknowledge and praise all the firefighters for keeping us safe,” she said.

Why is Beyoncé’s Album Of The Year win a big deal?

Although everyone knows it’s been a long time coming for Beyoncé to finally be a Album Of The Year Grammy winner — with Lemonade, Beyoncé and Renaissance being completely snubbed IMO — Beyoncé is now the second Black woman to have ever cop the title, with the amazing Lauryn Hill winning the award in 1999 for The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

Beyoncé is also the first black woman to have won Album Of The Year in the 21st century and the first Black artist to win Best Country Album ever — which is extremely bittersweet considering the deep Black roots that are embedded and intertwined within country music.

A day before the Grammys, Beyoncé sneakily announced the Cowboy Carter Tour! Unfortunately, at this stage, it appears Australia will be missing out on the funky rodeo, just like how we missed out on the Renaissance Tour.

Look, if country music is not your thing, Cowboy Carter is truly a game-changer. It’ll have ya bucking like a mechanical bull, as Yoncé said herself!

Now excuse me as I go mosey on out of my chair to the closest saloon for a cheeky line dance — of course, to Cowboy Carter only.
