Beyoncé fan travels from New York as it's cheaper seeing her in Sunderland AND Edinburgh than the USA

A dedicated Beyoncé fan has crossed the Atlantic Ocean to see his idol perform in Sunderland - and says that it's cheaper than buying tickets in the US!

Chinedum Enyinna spoke to ChronicleLive outside the Stadium of Light ahead of the music icon's Renaissance World Tour leg in the North East.

The tour kicked off in Sweden last week before Beyoncé touched down in the UK, with her already playing in Cardiff and Edinburgh - where Chinedum saw her on Saturday.

He says it was easier and cheaper to get tickets to the UK gigs than it was back in the US and he got to visit a part of the world he'd always wanted to - so a win all round!

Chinedum said: "I went to Edinburgh on Saturday and now I'm in Sunderland so I'm seeing her twice. It was a lot easier to get tickets in the UK than the US, and a lot cheaper.

"So I've always wanted to come to Scotland and northern England and it's just another excuse to take a trip. It's been great, it was wonderful on Saturday, I'm excited for tonight as well!"
