Hundreds of families have been left homeless by the fires ravaging through southern California, which saw a state of emergency declared and have led to at least 24 deaths.

The singer’s non-profit organisation BeyGOOD, established in 2013, will help those who have lost their homes and possessions in the Altadena and Pasadena areas.

“Los Angeles we stand with you,” the charity announced in their donation post on Sunday.

“BeyGOOD is taking action by announcing the LA Fire Relief Fund with a donation of 2.5 million dollars.

“The fund is earmarked to aid families in the Altadena/Pasadena area who lost their homes, and to churches and community centers to address the immediate needs of those affected by the wildfires.”

Thousands of LA residents and Hollywood A-listers have been affected by the fires, which began on January 7.

Stars like Paris Hilton, Jeff Bridges, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Leighton Meester and Adam Brody, and Miles Teller have all lost their homes.

Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles lost her oceanfront Malibu bungalow to the wildfires just days after she celebrated her 71st birthday there.
