Beyonce in Sunderland - entry times and security rules for Renaissance tour at Stadium of Light

Beyonce fans are now up a height with excitement at there being just days to go until the music icon's show in Sunderland And those heading to the Stadium of Light on Tuesday need to be aware of a few rules for entry into the Renaissance tour.

There was near hysteria earlier this year when Queen B announced that she'd be touring her new album, with fans having gone wild for the release of Break My Soul last year. Since then other cuts from Renaissance, like Alien Superstar and Cuff It have been on permanent rotation for many people as the UK leg of Beyonce's tour drew closer and closer.

She kicked off the Renaissance shows in Sweden last week, before UK fans got their first taste of the action in Cardiff on May 17 and, on Tuesday, May 23, it will be the turn of Sunderland to welcome the music megastar, with tens of thousands of fans expected to pack of the Stadium of Light.

Beyonce's Renaissance tour setlist was made public last week, with a few eyebrows being raised at the fact that Single Ladies, Halo and If I Were A Boy weren't on it. But, with it containing a massive 40 songs, there is sure to be at least one song that will get everyone going.

There are some tickets still left for Beyonce in Sunderland on Ticketmaster, with standing, seats and Gold Circle all still available.

What time do doors open?

Doors at the Stadium of Light are set to open at 4.30pm on Tuesday and the curfew for the show is 11pm, so Beyonce won't be finished any later than that.

There will be no support act and, judging by her shows so far, Beyonce has arrived on stage anytime between 8-8.30pm.

Can you take a bag in?

Bags can be taken in but the maximum size is is A4 height 297mm (11.7 inches), width 210mm (8.27 inches), depth 210mm (8.27 inches), and rucksacks of any size are banned. Concert-goers are urged to check that any bag they plan on taking to the concert does not exceed this size.

All bags will be inspected on arrival.

Can you take food and drink in?

No - the Stadium of Light does not allow visitors to bring any of their own food and drink into the venue, so make sure you leave any bottles or snacks out of your bag or you will be made to bin them. However, there will be a range of food and drink available to buy inside once you get into the Stadium.

What else is banned?

Flag poles or sticks for banners are also prohibited, as are professional cameras and recording equipment, and anything in your bag that could be considered dangerous such as sharp items may be confiscated.
