Bewildered mum lists unusual kids' names in her child's class - including Wayke

A mum has shared her shock after reading her daughter's yearbook filled with 'atrocious' names from her class. Although the monikers are undoubtedly loved by the families who chose them, the mum said she couldn't help but scratch her head over a few of the lesser-known choices.

Revealing her response in a post to Facebook group named 'That name isn't a tragedeigh, it's a murghdyrr', the unimpressed parent made her views clear.

"Most names were surprisingly tame, but there were a few that had me scratching my head," she wrote. The mum added: "I also noticed that there's more atrocities on the younger end than in the older kids."

She then proceeded to share a list of the offending names, according to the Sun. It included Dextyr, Wylliam, LayDence, Izabelluh, Deklynn, and Jaemyson.

Kaspyn, Wraylyn, Avaughna, Wayke, and Zephyrus also featured.

In response, baffled viewers shared their reactions in turn, and several struggled to understand the choices based on the information available to them.

"Why people are so obsessed about the letter Y?" one person asked. A second suggested the letters x, y, and z should be removed from the alphabet.

Meanwhile, one person revealed they were left angry after reading the list, such was their dislike of the children's names.

It's not the first time parents slammed another family's choice. Another memorable example last week saw a bystander take to Reddit to question parents who blended their forenames together.

"My mother just told me the name of her ex's child and my GOD is it a doozy. He and his wife named their daughter: Audtom. Because his name is Tom and her name is Audrey," the critic explained.

Once again, the choice did not prove to be popular. A commenter replied: "I once saw a baby announcement where the mom was named Shannon, the dad was Daniel, and they named the baby Shanniel. I thought that was the worst portmanteau name I'd ever heard… this one is worse."
