'Better than our back-four!' - Manchester United fans sent wild as Amad earns booking vs Celtic

Some Manchester United supporters have reacted to the fact that winger Amad was booked within just 30 seconds of stepping off the bench during Sunday's Old Firm derby.

The United ace, who joined Rangers on loan for the remainder of the season back in January, stepped off the bench to replace Scott Arfield with 87 minutes on the clock and immediately found himself in the referee's notebook. He was cautioned for bringing down Liel Abada.

The Celtic substitute was looking to get the home side up the pitch quickly following a Rangers corner and Amad felt it necessary to take one for the team and earn himself a yellow card, opposed to allowing Celtic to get up the pitch in pursuit of a late winner. The Celtic Park outfit had taken a first-half lead through Jota but Fashion Sakala brought Rangers level with 67 minutes on the clock, meaning it finished 1-1 between the two Glasgow giants.

Amad's short cameo appearance off the bench marked his third successive league appearance for the Gers. He has largely struggled for opportunities north of the order since signing on loan and he has played no part in their run to the semi-finals of the Europa League.

However, considering the Old Firm derby is renowned for its fierce rivalry, both on and off the pitch, Amad's challenge on Abada went down well, ensuring that he showed the hunger and desire required for such fixture. Earning an immediate booking, it sparked a reaction from the United fans watching, who were keeping a close eye on his development in Scotland.

Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look at what some of them have had to say...
