Last season we saw a big change in Pittsburgh Steelers Najee Harris. In his rookie season, he pounded out 1,200 yards on the ground and was the safety net in the passing game with 74 receptions. Overall, Harris had 381 touches.
But in 2022, we saw a change in philosophy from Harris and the Steelers offense. After struggling in the first half of the year, Harris made some changes to his running style and finally got on track. Harris also saw his job shared by Jaylen Warren.
In the end, Harris finished with only 1,034 yards on the ground, and only 41 receptions. In 2022 Harris rushed for 3.9 yards per carry compared to 3.9 in 2021.
The question is, will Harris improve on his 2022 numbers? Will he improve on his 2021 numbers? The Steelers seemed very committed to running the football down the stretch but could cut quarterback Kenny Pickett and the passing offense loose in 2023. What would that mean for Harris, who the team spent a first-round pick on in 2021? Cast your vote and let us know.
