Chris Martin, 47, and Dakota Johnson, 34, are "engaged” after six years of dating, according to a new report.
The Coldplay singer allegedly proposed to the actress some time ago and has the full support of his ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, 51, along with their children, Apple, 19, and Moses, 17.
A source has now told The Mirror: 'The couple got engaged a while ago and have kept the news private.
“But now they are being open about it with their circles. They have been besotted with each other from day one so taking this next step was inevitable.
“They are in no rush to plan the wedding but are just enjoying making their commitment official.”
The Standard has contacted Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson’s reps for comment.
Johnson initially raised eyebrows about a potential engagement last October when she was spotted wearing an emerald green ring on her wedding finger during her birthday celebration in Los Angeles.
Reports of their engagement coincides as the Madame Webb star expressed her desire to embrace motherhood as she discussed being a step-mum to Martin’s two children with Paltrow in a rare interview.
She told Bustle Magazine: “I love those kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart.“
Before adding: “How do I feel about motherhood? I’m so open to that. I’ve gotten to this place where I really want to experience everything life has to offer.
“And especially being a woman, I’m like: ‘What a magical f***ing thing to do. What a crazy, magical, wild experience.’
“If that’s meant to happen for me, I’m totally down for it. We’re not here for very long, so if I’m meant to be a mother, bring it on.”
The couple, who keep their romance out of the spotlight, initially met through mutual friends. Previously Johnson told Vanity Fair in 2022 that they “never really left each other” since meeting.
Although they were first seen together in 2017, shortly after his divorce from Paltrow, it wasn't immediately clear if they were romantically involved.
