Get ready for a dose of staycation inspiration, as Airbnb has just revealed the top 10 trending UK seaside spots for 2022.
Famous destinations such as Brighton or Blackpool haven't made the top 10 this year. Instead, it's lesser-known Hornsea in East Riding of Yorkshire which has been crowned the must-visit spot this summer.
The quaint seaside town has jumped up from eighth place last year, winning over visitors with its Victorian promenade and its large stretch of sandy beach.
The beach is also handily located right by a wide array of cafes and shops, not to mention there are plenty of great Airbnb stays and hotels in the area which cater to different budgets.

Holidaymakers have been sharing their reviews of the beach on Tripadvisor, and generally the feedback has been positive.
One visitor wrote: "Such a beautiful beach, mainly sand but with some pebbles to make sandcastles or admire the different colours. Saw someone swimming in the sea. We visited around 5pm on a Sunday evening and it was very peaceful."
Another added: "Great place for a long quiet walk, make sure the tide is going out and you cam walk for miles. Hornsea is usually quiet and parking is either cheap (about £3.50 a day) or free with plenty of options near the beach. This is a great place to take photos, have a picnic, chill out or walk to Skipsea or Withernsea (watch the tide)."
However, it's worth timing your visit, as some families have reported little bugs and flies on the beach during the heatwave.
Hornsea wasn't the only town to emerge as a must-visit for the summer.
Airbnb's research found that Walton-on-the-Naze in Essex and Fleetwood in Lancashire are also proving to be popular with Brits looking for minibreaks in the sunshine.
